VIKING COMPASS: VEGVISIR
“Vegvísir” means ‘Guidepost’ in Icelandic and is sometimes called a Viking Compass.
It is thought to be a Magical Symbol for Safety in Travel or Navigation.
Vegvísir was found in the late 17th century Icelandic manuscript known as ‘Galdrabok’ as well as the "Huld Manuscript," collected in Iceland by Geir Vigfusson in 1880 (but consisting of material of earlier origin).
The Manuscript declares that "if this sign is carried, one will never lose one's way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known."
This is similar in nature to other symbols or magical practices we see described in the lore written during the Viking Age (800-1300) a time of contention and conversion between the indigenous religion and the encroaching Christianity. Wear Our Original Design and Never Lose Your Way!
Crystal Quartz is a power stone known as the "universal crystal" and has many uses. It channels energy, enhances thoughts, dispels and clears negativity and purifies all planes, physical, mental, and spiritual. It also aids in meditation, psychic protection, and works with the third eye chakra aiding in astral travel, scrying, and dream work. Crystal Quartz strengthens all body systems and is also a crystal to program for a specific use and to charge other crystals.
The talisman will be cleansed and charged using a pagan technique, and the crystal quartz point will be cleansed and programmed with your desired intentions for the piece.
