There are many different ways to protect your space before spell work. I have included different options in this blog.
First and foremost, cleanse your space, both physically and energetically.
Clean and declutter. A clean space will clear your mind and help you manifest more strongly.
Energetically cleanse your space with a ritual spray.

This is a formal circle casting. For a quicker, less formal way, it is listed below.
Calling in the corners, the cardinal directions:
NORTH
Stand facing North and say the following:
"I call upon the guardians of the watchtower of the North, Element of Earth, power of stability. I do summon and call you now to witness this rite and guard this circle.
Powers of Earth, I ask you to accompany me into your dimension."
Raise hand, draw pentacle clockwise in the air.
EAST
Turn facing East and say the following:
"I call upon the guardians of the watchtower of the East, Element of Air, power of change. I do summon and call you now to witness this rite and guard this circle.
Powers of Air, I ask you to accompany me into your dimension."
Raise hand, draw pentacle clockwise in the air.
SOUTH
Turn facing South and say the following:
"I call upon the guardians of the watchtower of the South, element of Fire, power of growth. I do summon and call you now to witness this rite and guard this circle.
Powers of Fire, I ask you to accompany me into your dimension."
Raise hand, draw pentacle clockwise in the air.
WEST
Turn facing West and say the following:
"I call upon the guardians of the watchtower of the West, Element of Water power of movement. I do summon and call you now to witness this rite and guard this circle.
Powers of Water, I do ask you to accompany me into your dimension."
Raise hand, draw pentacle clockwise in the air.
Turn, facing North, say the following:
"The circle has been cast, and I have now entered another dimension.
My call to the Universe is loud and clear. My senses are heightened l, my call precise, and my power intensified. At this time, in this hour, I call upon ancient power. Goddess bride and consort Brite, I ask thee now to bring your light.
By the power of three, the power, the spell bound shall be to cause harm to none and return none on me.
As I do will, so mote it be."

Closing the Circle
EAST
Start by facing East and say the following:
"I hail ye guardians of the watchtower of the East, element of Air, power of change. I thank you for joining this rite and guarding this circle.
I now close the doorway that has allowed me to join your dimension.
SOUTH
Turn facing South and say the following:
"I hail ye guardians of the watchtower of the South, Element of Fire, power of growth. I thank you for joining this rite and guarding this circle.
I now close the doorway that has allowed me to join your dimension."
WEST
Turn facing West and say the following:
"I hail ye guardians of the watchtower of the West, Element of Water, power of change. I thank you for joining this rite and guarding this circle.
I now close the doorway that has allowed me to join your dimension. "
NORTH
Turn facing North and say the following:
"I hail ye guardians of the watchtower of the North, Element of Earth, power of stability. I thank you for joining this rite and guarding this circle.
I now close the doorway that has allowed me to join your dimension."
"I now thank the lord and lady for presiding over this ceremony. May we always walk together in the service of the light.
Quicker, less formal alternatives:
Envision a sphere of protection around you, call in your guides and ask them to protect your space.
Sprinkle some salt in a glass of water. Sprinkle water around you and your spell. Say the following, "I am protected by this sacred circle in perfect love and in perfect trust."
